Michelle Deva

BFA, MAAT (Clinic)

I graduated from Otago Polytechnic 2010 majoring in Textiles and completed Masters in Creative Arts Therapy (clinical) from Whitecliffe College, Auckland 2020. In my Masters dissertation I used a transpersonal methodology with wet-felting, to explore childhood grief and my own clinical interests of using textiles in Creative Arts therapy practice. I am registered with ANZACATA professional body of Creative Arts Therapist

In my personal artwork I draw on ritualistic, intuitive, and meditative practices to explore the connection between art and spirit using textiles and treasures gleaned from the natural environment.
